OUr Commitment

Nor’easter Commitment

We expect all players who are invited to be members after tryouts to make a full, 100% commitment to our schedule. By design, during the academic year, we limit the number of practices to be efficient and to make it very possible to participate, and we encourage girls to play multiple sports and engage in a variety of extra-curricular activities both fall and winter. We understand you cannot make every single practice, but we do expect communication when you cannot make practice, and, come summer, we expect girls to be at all practices as they develop as a team toward their greatness. The summer is where the bulk of our learning, practice time, and commitment takes place. If attendance is not upheld, especially during June and July, and not communicated with the coach ahead of time, playing time may be jeopardized. Once you sign up as a member, you are taking a roster spot for a team. You must pay for the full membership regardless of continued participation. We have a very strict policy regarding the cost being paid on time. If you need a payment plan, we will work with you to provide that. You may contact clarissa@noreasterlacrosse.com to work out the specifics of payment plans.

  • PARENT EXPECTATIONS

    • We have a strict policy that parents are there to be supportive and enthusiastic on the sidelines in the most positive way.

    • Parents are as much a representation of our club as their daughters and, as such, we expect a respectful, supportive, and positive sideline. Lead by example!

    • We encourage parental participation in tailgates, team dinners, and carpools.

    • We do not need parent coaching. We provide and hire some of the very best coaches from college, high school, and beyond to work with your daughters.

  • PLAYER EXPECTATIONS

    • Attend practices.

    • Communicate with coaches when you cannot attend a practice.

    • Work hard outside of practices on specific skills that your coaches are teaching you and encourage you to improve.

    • Ask questions to improve. Talk with your coaches individually before, during, or after practice to get evaluations.

    • Hard work, willingness to try new positions, and do what is best for your team!

    • Positive attitude. Be outgoing, and inclusive, and meet new girls from all over the state! This is a great place to make some lifelong friends.

Nor’easter Lacrosse Policies

Payment

Payment for all Nor’easter Lacrosse events is to be made online. Nor’easter Lacrosse will take no responsibility for players’ absence from an event program and/or information being incorrect. All information relayed upon payment for an event is entered by the player only via a secure website.

Refunds, Credits & Cancellations:

Nor’easter Lacrosse will keep accurate records of all finances. Our program expects student-athletes to participate in all practices and attend as many tournaments as possible, though there is no practice or tournament requirement. When a player registers for Nor'easter Lacrosse, she and her parent(s) / guardian(s) are responsible for the payment of all fees as a player in our program. All fees are expected in a timely manner as outlined at the time of registration and are non-refundable.

In the event of a season-ending injury, you will be eligible for a maximum of credit towards a future Nor’easter Lacrosse event based on the date of the injury. Nor’easter Lacrosse will only consider such refunds to players who are unable to participate in practices and tournaments due to injury. We require a doctor's note as confirmation regarding this. For members eligible / issued general credit throughout the season, we will roll over unused funds to the next events attended. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Nor’easter Lacrosse directors. Again, all tournaments/events are prepaid as are our equipment, field rentals, and coaching fees; therefore, once you are a member, you are expected to fulfill your commitment.

Tryout Fee: The Nor'easter Lacrosse Tryout Fee is non-refundable.

Membership Fee: The Nor'easter Lacrosse Membership Fee is paid annually and in full prior to the start of the season and is non-refundable. This fee covers uniforms, all practices during the season, and administration expenses. The Team Membership Fee does NOT include separate and additional Tournament Fees.

Tournament Fees: All Nor'easter Lacrosse Tournament Fees are non-refundable. There are NO exceptions; this includes, but is not limited to, high school team obligations, player illness/injury, personal conflict, or cancellations due to inclement weather. Tournament Fees are paid in addition to the Membership Fee, and tournaments are selected by the player based on the student-athlete’s athletic, academic, and personal commitments. Families are responsible for all travel arrangements and expenses when applicable.

Nor’easter Lacrosse prides itself on the ability to work with and accommodate each family’s financial needs. Flexible payment plans are provided as a courtesy to our families, but regardless of continued participation.

All Events:

  • Players are required to bring all Nor’easter Lacrosse gear to every event

  • Nor’easter Lacrosse gear includes anything issued

  • A month's advance notice on fill-in equipment is required if the gear is lost

  • We need at least 3 weeks to replace lost/stolen gear

  • A $25.00 fine for replacing missing gear will be charged to the player/family

  • This fee covers set-up fees, shipping, and administrative time

Tournaments:

Unless otherwise instructed, all Nor’easter players will meet 30 minutes prior to their first scheduled competition, ready to play at their team's designated field.

Preparation: All players will be ready to play; dressed, taped, warmed-up, shoes on, and mouth guards 15 minutes prior to each game.

This will be the sole responsibility of each individual player.

US Lacrosse Membership:

It is a requirement of the event that ALL participants MUST be US Lacrosse Members. Athletes who are not members will not be allowed to participate; please see the website for further details. Nor’easter has the right to cancel any player’s membership if they are not in good standing or have an expired US Lacrosse membership.

Parents:

Parents are required to defer to Nor’easter Lacrosse personnel (Owner, Executive Director, Coaching Staff) for all decisions regarding members: coaching strategy, team meal organization, and tournament standings. Playing time is determined by the coaches and directors using many factors; never is parent input one of those considerations.

If you would like to help with anything, please notify Nor’easter Lacrosse personnel.

General Information & Photo Release:

If a parent or guardian would prefer not to release Nor’easter Lacrosse the ability to publish lacrosse photos of their daughter, you should contact the Directors and alert them to the specifics of your request. Nor’easter Lacrosse Directors will never identify individuals in photos shared on the website or social media platforms.

Furthermore, the club may share your contact information (email, phone, address) with other members of the club, internally, for purposes of travel, carpooling for practices, and/or tournaments.  If a parent or guardian wishes not to have their information shared with other members of the club, it is the responsibility of the family to contact the directors.
