The Jackie Pitts award recognizes a graduating senior in each state chapter who truly honors the game of lacrosse, is invested in the development of the game in her community, is an exceptional player who continually strives to improve her game, and is an exemplary member of her team. The recipient exemplifies the spirit of the game, on and off the field, and is an outstanding student and a valued role model in her school.
Additionally, Haley was nominated to Connecticut's First Team All-State and also received The United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award. This award recognizes a young student athlete who exhibits courage, poise, self-confidence and leadership while performing on the field in varsity athletics. The recipient is also an exemplary young citizen who is a role model on the field and in the classroom for younger student athletes.
Haley finished her senior year at Pomperaug High School among the top 3 scorers in the program's history. She will attend York College in the fall to continue on with her pursuit of the game. Good luck to Haley!
